🎯 What the work looks like
You won't just be implementing tasks from a spec. You start with the problem, not the code. We need you to identify what truly impacts users, design a solution, and ship it to production.
Typically, you'll:
- Design and implement backend solutions in modern PHP
- Work with GraphQL APIs, domain models, and asynchronous workflows
- Navigate an architecture where DDD, hexagonal design, event-driven patterns, and in some places CQRS make sense
- Use Claude Code in your daily work — for navigating the codebase, brainstorming solutions, refactoring, debugging, writing tests, and speeding up routine tasks
- Think about what's worth automating and help develop our internal AI tooling, skills, and workflows
- Own the outcome, quality, and impact of what ships to production
AI is already part of everyday development here, and we want our new team member to help evolve this way of working. And because we believe AI pushes development toward end-to-end ownership, we value frontend skills too. Backend is your main domain, but if you can deliver a larger product feature from API to the final user flow, that's a big plus for us.
👀 About you
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Have at least 5 years of professional backend development experience
- Are strong in PHP with a good sense for API design, databases, and backend architecture
- Can own a solution from design through to production
- Take quality seriously—tests, code review, and refactoring aren't "nice to have" for you
- Want to actively use AI in development and see value in pushing how the team works with AI
- Think about customer impact, not just technical completion
- Speak Czech and English
Experience with GraphQL, event-driven architecture, CQRS, Kubernetes, or SaaS products is a plus. We also appreciate frontend skills and the drive to deliver solutions end to end.

- Backend: PHP 8.2+, Nette/Laravel frameworks, Doctrine ORM. Hexagonal and event-driven architecture for flexible, scalable services.
- Databases: MySQL for core data, plus ElasticSearch and Redis. RabbitMQ for async processing.
- API: Our main API is built on GraphQL, with REST endpoints where it makes sense.
- Testing: Unit and integration tests; PHPStan for code quality.
- Frontend: TypeScript, React, and Next.js power our web applications.
- Design: Figma for product design and design system management.
- DevOps: From commit to production in minutes. GitHub Actions pipelines ensure code quality and automate deployments multiple times a day.
- Infrastructure: Fully cloud-native, running on Kubernetes for maximum flexibility and scalability.
- Project management: Confluence for documentation, Jira for task management.
